OUR COLLECTION

"Our" because although this company is owned by me, Karl, it wouldn't be interesting without my collection of like-minded journeymen who make me question everything, every day. It wouldn't be possible without the help they and my family (who made me this way, but I still love) have given to support whatever "Big Sky Summer" is. The energy surrounding the "why?" of Big Sky Summer would be nonexistent. I'm here to tell you and all the people that make Big Sky Summer the glorious, curious, fascinating, and magical place that it turns into for 2.5ish months out of the year, why.

 

But first, the help should be explicitly explained, as to not diminish any efforts. Sharing and taking photos. I take some good pictures, but not all the time. I'm no more than an amateur photographer (with a drone pilots license). This one-man-band got help from a multitude of community members setting up and selling at my first farmers market last year. And then there's this giddy collaboration of love that brings us together outdoors. We vibe from far apart until we are all the way together on a trail or by a body of water. Either through group chats, classes, with best friends, family, dogs, or yourself (also best friend). 

 

Our little community of Big Sky is what drives the essence of this business.

And now, "why?"

I thought I'd be here in Big Sky for one season, then f*** off to another resort to experience another ski town. After sticking around for the summer of 2022, I was had forgotten there were other options out there. Every year we get the magic of "rainbow season", constant (and an almost daunting amount of) activity, eccentric people, nature beyond belief, and perfect weather with sunlight till 10pm (Mid-June).

So why start an outdoor-inspired clothing company? Because the great outdoors is where we all want to be! Winter has Lone Peak and the Backcountry. Then, anywhere with (or without) trails, a river or lake, a campfire, and music in the summer. Through the seasons we subliminally or explicitly express ourselves with energy and outfits. They often reflect how we feel (or want to feel) inside. So, here are the physical manifestations of the energy and joy this exceptional place brings to the people of our community. At least, in the small part that I can contribute. Join me in creating the outlet and expression for Big Sky Summer luvin!
